Where Does Your Dental Work Come From?

The Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry uses world-class labs for fabricating veneers, crowns, bridges and other custom dental work.� The labs and our doctors keep in close contact about materials being used to create the restorations before they are made and put into a patient�s mouth. Other dentists have opted to outsource their dental work to much cheaper labs in China and other foreign countries and have received restorations with toxic substances in them, like the most recent discovery of lead. If lead accumulates in the body, it can affect kidneys, eyes, heart, the immune system and cognitive function

Problems with outsourcing to labs in other countries also arise with the restorations not fitting properly in the patients� mouths. Combine that with the presence of lead, bacteria can seep in and eventually call for a root canal and toxins will be closer to entering the bloodstream by being in the mouth and is extremely dangerous.
